GMP Good Manufacturing Practices is a system specially developed for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food sectors and is based on basic quality requirements for healthy production.<\/p>\n
The first relevant studies in the countries of the European Union were carried out in the cosmetics sector in 2010. As a result of these studies, the Cosmetics Regulation was published and it became mandatory to apply the principles of the Cosmetics Regulation in all European Union countries.<\/p>\n
Good manufacturing practices, although primarily started with cosmetics, medicines, medical devices and equipment, food and foodstuffs, are related in many areas to the health of the products made by and for people. This system not only deals with products and employees, but also with all aspects of manufacturing companies, production facilities, machines and systems used, relationships with the environment, production processes, properties of the raw materials used. The qualifications and experience of the employees are factors that determine the reliability and quality of the products.<\/p>\n
Regarding human health, it is primarily the responsibility of manufacturers operating in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetics to eliminate or at least minimize the possibility of contamination of products from internal and external sources.
